Post-doctoral Researcher of Prof. CC Chen of Solar Cell and Battery Research

A full-time postdoctoral position is available for a Ph.D. graduate in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. The focus of our research is based on perovskite, organic, and quantum dot solar cells, and lithium ion battery. We are seeking two highly motivated Ph.D. graduates who are interested in applying a variety of methods to improve the conversion efficiency and extend the lifetime of these novel solar cells, as well as improving the performance for the lithium ion battery.  

Requirements:

•Applicants must have completed their doctorate before Sept 2018 

•PhD degree on materials science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry or other related fields. 

Responsibilities:

•The candidate is expected to independently lead and execute the research projects;  

•Actively participate and involve in collaborative research;  

•Supervise undergraduate research activity in the group;  

•Write manuscripts and proposals (if needed) independently.  

Compensations:

In accordance with regulations regarding SJTU Post-doctors (http://postd.sjtu.edu.cn/index.htm), annual allowance of no less than 200-240 thousand RMB, including standard benefits. The initial appointment will be for two years and renewable for two additional years upon satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.  

Principle Investigator:

Dr. CC Chen obtained his PhD in materials science and engineering from UCLA in 2015 with a research focus on organic and perovskite solar cells. Over the years, he has published over 50 articles with citation over 8000 times. In 2017, he was awarded with young thousand-talent funding to start his own laboratory in SJTU.
